Who buys the blank
Three situations, mostly. Manufacturers who already hold active inventory and do not want to buy it twice. Operations that need to control their own assay and chain of custody for compliance reasons. And formulators running an active we do not stock.
The base is identical to what sits underneath every loaded product in our catalog. The only difference is that the loading step happens on your floor instead of ours.
Loading procedure
- 1 Bring the base to room temperature. Do not heat it above the range on the certificate of analysis.
- 2 Add your active to 20% of the final batch weight.
- 3 Mix on a stir plate, overhead mixer or reactor until the batch is visually uniform and clear.
- 4 Verify potency and dispersion on a retained sample before releasing the lot to production.
Note on results
Loading on site puts particle size and encapsulation efficiency under your control, and therefore under your responsibility. If those numbers need to be guaranteed on a certificate, buy the pre-loaded version instead.
